First of all, the title of this page is totally a lie. Nothing is cooler than Michael Jackson. Nothing and nobody. Let’s just clear that up right now.
That being said, our organic lunch bags do come pretty close to being as cool as MJ. And here’s why:
1. They’re literally cool
I mean, they’re insulated so they actually keep your food cool until time to eat. And keeping your lunch cool is pretty cool. (Ok, I’ll stop.)
2. They’re totally organic
Inside and out, up and down, even sideways… Our insulated organic lunch bags are made from nothing but GOTS certified 100% organic cotton fabrics. Even the super cool insulation is organic cotton batting. Finding anything that’s completely organic can be really hard. Which makes our lunch bags badass.
3. No dyes on the inside
Even though the colored fabrics we use have been dyed with low-impact and water-based dyes, we line all of our bags with undyed and unbleached natural organic cotton. Same goes for our organic sandwich and snack bags. One less thing to worry about coming in contact with your food.
4. Good for you
Because they’re made from nothing but 100% organic cotton, and the insides are lined with natural organic cotton, no harmful chemicals or toxins will come in contact with your food or you, as you’re carrying it around. It makes you feel good when you’re packing your own lunch or loading up your little one’s sandwich and snacks for school.
Not to bum you out or anything, but here are a couple of the toxins found in conventional cotton:
- present in the inks & dyes used in fabric making
- associated with lower IQs
- neurotoxin — affects brain & cognitive development
- major indoor pollutant
- linked to leukemia & other cancers
- can cause allergic reactions & exacerbate asthma
Yeahhhhhh, I don’t know about you, but that list certainly doesn’t make me want to pack my kid’s lunch in a conventional cotton bag.
5. Good for the earth
Did you know that it takes 3 years for a conventional farm to convert to a certified organic farm? And that in those three years, in order to rid the land of all the pesticides and chemicals that have soaked into the earth, farmers often plant root vegetables like potatoes and carrots to soak up the nasty stuff and then toss them?! Gross! Can you think of a better reason to buy organic potatoes next time you’re at the store?
Even though the number of certified organic farms remains relatively small, organic farms are growing. Organic foods are slowly becoming more available and so is organic cotton (yay!).
To put it in simple terms: more demand for organic products = more organic farms, and more organic farms = less chemicals on our planet.

Ok, seriously, who cares? But in case you do care, even just a little bit, we’ve coordinated our color options so you can pick a lunch bag that does look absolutely lovely with your picnic blanket. And you’re welcome. (Proud moment here.)
